A few years ago, Richard and Marty began collaborating on paintings.
The M & R Ray paintings come to be with two artists merging design,
themes and skills to create a finished painting. Marty draws a design on
canvas and then hands it over to Richard to complete with color, shading
and contrast using acrylic paint on canvas. Marty's drawings come from
years of incising line and design, up, down, and around on the clay surfaces
of her pottery. Here's just a few of a larger body of work to date.
